I would highly recommend Bartel's Auto Clinic in Carol Stream. They are very knowledgeable and professional. I have all my cars serviced at Bartel's and their service is of high quality. They explain the service that needs to be performed and the repair work is performed in a timely manner.

I called earlier in the morning to see about bringing my car in as I thought my wind shield washer pump had failed. I spoke with John who asked me to stop by after work so he could take a look & make sure he ordered the correct part. Ok, seemed fair enough. I knew they offered free estimates, and it was on my way home from work so it was no big deal to stop in.When I got to the shop, John grabbed my car, pulled it into the garage, and asked me to take a seat. About 10 minutes later he came back & said it was all fixed!! Apparently my washer line was just clogged and/or frozen. Either way, they said there was nothing wrong with the pump. Great news!! I know if I had gone to the Honda dealer I would have paid for them to replace a pump that wasn't actually broken.I will definitely return in the future for more of my routine maintenance like oil changes, etc.

I normally take my car to the dealership to have repairs done but on a few occasions when the dealer estimate seemed extremely high I went to Bartels and was extremely pleased with the cost and work done. They were very personable and the work was performed quickly. On one occasion I needed air put into a wheel for a wheelbarrow. After trying 2 other places I went to Bartels and they were able to care for it ...and.. they didn't even charge me. I would definitely recommend them.

I go there with tough problems and they always fix my truck 1st time with no problems.

Always a great place to go to for reasonable labor rates for an alternative to obnoxious luxury "dealership" rates. I have a Land Rover and I bring it to Bartels for almost anything and they are always honest and fair about what needs to be done, I only bring my vehicle to the Land Rover dealer if there is computer specific things that need to be hooked up using the dealer exclusive tools (and I get charged obscene amounts which is why I avoid the dealer whenever possible). The other nice thing is that the GM's and owners are usually present and very knowledgeable which gives me good peace of mind. I would recommend Bartel's for sure.

Always fairly describe work required and pricing. Recommendations for what needs to be done and when are realistic and reasonable. All work has been done as quoted and promised. Very professional greeting, waiting room, and check out process.

I've taken both my cars here on a few different occasions. The staff was curious and polite. Service times were reasonable. If I can't fix something myself, I call these guys.

I've been taking my car to Bartel's for years. They have a friendly and experienced staff that takes the time to not only explain but show you what needs to be done before they perform any work. I know when I take my car to Bartels, the service issue will be completed professionally and timely. Also, I love the complimentary shuttle service!

I love them. They took a completely crap-tastic situation and turned it around. I was having a stressful week--looking for a place to live with new roommates, just started a new job, when I got a flat tire 30 miles from home. Fixed it that night, and called Bartel's first thing the next morning to see if they could squeeze me in (since it was on my way to work). The girl that answered the phone said sure, she could get me an appointment in 15 minutes--perfect! I took it in to get the tire looked at, they said it should be 20 mintues and then I would be on with my day. Well, not so much. Apparently they guy who was working on my car was new, and forgot to move one of the arms on some apparatus out of the way when they lowered my car. The driver's side door was open, and so it got bent so much that it would no longer close. The owner and the general manager both came out to tell me the good news was that the tire was fixed and they wouldn't be charging me. The bad news was that I couldn't drive my car. BUT, they had already called Enterprise and were going to pay for my rental until my car came back from the body shop. Amazing customer service. I will definitely be going back there. Not only was the door fixed (as well as the tire), I never paid a penny AND when I got my car back they had washed the outside and even detailed the interior. Nicely done!
